Had my Giro helmet on when I left for Wellington this morning. Took it off after a mile. Didn't wear it for the rest of the 19 miles return trip.

If I HADN'T (taken it off) I'd be dead now, crushed under a bus or similar.

Anyway back on topic...

My Giro Atmos after hitting the ground at about 25mph. I don't think i will be going for one of these again as there is absolutely no compression in any of it, just cracked all the way through.

Anyway back on topic...

A good illustration of a helmet not doing what it was designed to do but doing what it was designed not to do instead.
