Excellent news! Glasgow has promised to make cycling the largest participatory activity in the city by the year 2020, and has appointed a ‘cycling czar’ to make it happen.
The czar is Frank McAveety, a Labour councillor now, but who lost his seat in the Scottish Parliament last year, and who says that he has a "love/hate relationship" with bikes. So that’ll be alright then
