I have to bond a windscreen onto a fibreglass surround I tried it once with Tigerseal but due to flexing it has come away from the glass. Perceived wisdom is I didn't get the glass clean enough, somebody has suggested thinners but I didn't think you could buy it anymore? Another is Acetone any idea where you get it from?

Is acetone not just nail varnish remover ?
isopropyl alcohol is what I’d use

Acetone you can get from a chemist. I use acetone to remove my rubbers. Don't know how much you could buy. I only use a very small quantity.

Table tennis rubbers.

Glass merchants usually stock a specialist aerosol that they use to clean glass before they make up sealed double glazing units. I used some a long time ago and it's demon stuff. Try your local merchant.

Edit:- Looks like Amazon is the obvious place

If you dont want to shop online you can get IPA at maplins as it's used for cleaning electronics due to its evaporating quality
Like others I used it for cleaning disc brakes ...first asked a couple pharmacies who said they do not stock it as you need a license because of the alcohol content in it

Ah okay, I just thought you knew something I didn't, I used to know a few people who worked for them at the Head office & thought they all had lost their jobs.
