I nipped out, so missed the last part of the programme. I can see traces of blood in the speaker grille of my wireless, so I think it got quite nasty at the end.

Depends on the temperature doesn't it? Is ice a solid or liquid? Glass can be either, and even a gas if the temperature is high enough. In my other life I made studio ceramics and it was quite magical to peer through the spyhole of a kiln at approaching 1300"C and see molten glaze shining in the almost white heat. If the kiln is too hot for the glaze it can run, and pool at the bottom of the pot, sticking it permanently to the kiln shelf on cooling.
 
I wish glass did display fluid behaviour at STP. The majority of my life is spent working out ways to make glass behave in strange ways. It takes a whole lot of effort to get it to behave like a fluid.
