Go Pro or one of the knock offs?

There are comparisons of the Go Pros on Youtube. The image stabilisation on the latest one compared to 2 models ago is huge.

I would splash out on the latest Go Pro. I dont think there is anything else to touch it.

I was going to mention image stabilisation. I have seen a lot of videos that start off looking pretty good but once the cyclist starts to pick up speed the picture becomes really wobbly and unpleasant to look at. When watching a properly stabilised picture, the improvement really IS huge!

I've got an SJCam 4000, it works ok but a bit clunky and battery life is poor. I'll be buying a GoPro Hero 8 Black before I go to Wales in a few months

There isn't any knock offs as good. The GoPro is better in every possible way. Importantly as mentioned picture stability, no wind noise, longer battery life & tank like build quality to name a few.

If you want to save cash you can pick up a Go-Pro Hero 5 Session on ebay for about £100-£150 at auction. Works well as a cycle cam.
