Goes well with Pizza .....

I can't be doing with all these "Ersatz" pizzas. hawaiian, tikka and other concoctions, then stufed crusts and whatever. Good old fashioned, traditional Neapolitan and Margharita with a thin base. Mamma Mia!!:hungry:
I agree with this, but my partner (from Queensland) loves pineapple on his pizza. It's a gesture of love, if I'm making "pizza", to buy a tin of pineapple despite my deep misgivings.

(pizza in quotes, as my oven doesn't get hot enough to make a real pizza.)

I bought a bottle of Chillean Merlot tonight in Tescos "half price" £4:98 I wonder if it ever had cost £9.96
yep. i've seen similar in the tesco express at broken cross at 'full price', which are always 'half price' in the main stores in macc. it's how they get around the regulations, and if they're lucky get a tenner for a bottle worth only a fiver from some gullible punter…

Obviously not ice cold. Whilst I know nothing about wine, I do know Ale.

Also, while I'd expect wine drinkers to argue about the temperature, ale drinkers usually live in the real world and don't spend half their life trying to score points correcting other ale drinkers!

Drink what you like, when you like, how you like - save the sanctimonious comments for someone who gives a S**t.

Insult my dress sense, my intelligence or my parentage but not the way I drink Ale :cursing:

then you like I will know that too cold and there is no taste at all. but if drinking tasteless stuff is your bag i can heartily recommend fosters or carling. if you think i am point scoring then i would consider stepping back and looking at your own priorities

For what it's worth, slightly below room temp is usually not far off. Because, as you say, the colder it is the less you taste it. I wasn't arguing with your thoughts on how to drink beer, merely the fact that you felt the need to correct what was simply a light hearted quip.
Sometimes I Shaun should add a section to the forum were people who want their posts to be proof read can post.
