Good on you Lu & TVC: my daughter took our getting chickens last year to finally go veggie, she's happy with her choice and our palate has widened a bit when we experiment with something new cooked up from scratch for her to try. I keep thinking I'm going to give it a punt and just see how long I drift on with it for.

Slice up a few big 'field' (Portobello?) mushrooms and replace the meat in a Chinese stirfry with em :hungry:

Having 2 begetarian kids, we've been effectively 'mostly' veggie for about a decade (can't be arsed to make 2 dinners, and I do most of the cooking).
Rejoicing tonight, as they're both out, and we're having one of my special sausage treats (no, Miss Goodbody isn't coming round, sadly)

Is that like vegetarian, but they eat bacon?

A knob of bitter, is that some fancy continental measurement?

Theakstons or John Smiths.

On a serious note I love em stuffed with chopped Peanuts, diced Onion, Garlic and Butter then roasted in the oven for 40 minutes or so.
