Going without The News

Radio 3 between 8:35am and 4:59pm, except for 1pm, and then again from 6:01pm.

I think they have a total of less than 20 minutes news per day, less at weekends.

Radio 4 extra , still Radio 7 in my head, is a great station, piles of modern and archive radio comedy and drama.. No news or current affairs except for News Quiz and similar.

My sister often says that but it doesn't make sense to me ... If a crazed lunatic kidnapped all your family members and you never heard from them again, I wouldn't call that good news***!

I have dodged news for a few years now and it's wonderful.

I don't do radio any more either. I use my MP3 player and listen to what I want rather than what some DJ likes.
