Gooble Adverts too creepy

So I need some new Ottoman bed gas struts. I took a photo using my wife's iphone. My Android phone was sitting unused and charging during the whole discussion and procedure.
Tonight, Google Adds is serving me up Ottoman bed struts on my phone.

Is it listening in or reading my mind? Can we test this creepy over-reach?

the 'AI' which provides these 'targetted adverts' isn't up to much, it continues to send adverts for things you have already purchased for one. also google ain't up to much either, it often gives my location in a place called 'Glenfields' which doesn't exist sometimes gets it right with my correct postcode but at the moment has decided I live in Nottingham.

If they are based on what you've been viewing or searched for, why haven't I had any for Witches Balls, Vampire Coffins of skeletons!

All searched for and viewed this last week.

Infiltrates YouTube as well.
Having spent some time trying to resove issues with a HP printer, and using Google, that has now gone to be recycled I am suddenly getting a stack of HP ads

I asked AI to show the 'real' me.
A couple of days ago I had ads for "Do you want to be more interesting?" Seems I've been rumbled.

Ebay keep asking me if I'm ready to resell items. Who would want to buy worn out tyres?

It's an open secret that the mics on phones are always listening and will feed keywords / conversations back to Google (or whichever random marketing shitbags and dubious third parties they choose to sell it to).

It's a given that they'll be monitoring your browsing history and probably the contents of every folder you have on your phone that you've "innocently" granted them permission to access under the auspices of something apparently innocuous.

The level of surveillance the average individual is a) subject to and b) willing to accept is absolutely shocking yet nobody seems to care

Google will know who else you're associated with, not just you.

When I look for something my wife gets ads for it.

I don't know what those are, not going to search for them in case I get swamped with ads

You are using the same home network, connected to the same wi-fi.

Are those actually available to buy lol?
If not, no point in showing you ads.

Yes, I actually don't care, I willingly installed market research spyware on my devices.
I'm getting paid for it!
