Good grief , another twist in Corrie tonight.
Over night a Co-op and costa coffee shop has been stealthy built and fully open for business.
Send in Arthur C Clark to investigate the strange goings on,s.
Poor old Alf Roberts would be turning in his grave seeing the competition :-)

How do these characters in these soaps manage financially? They all seem to be able to get jobs on the doorstep, none of them have to commute into town. They seem to swap jobs at the drop of a hat, between the cafe and the factory and the Bistro, which must be very cheap to eat in as all the locals eat there!

And where do they park there cars. Theres hardly a car in sight parked up on the street.
The poor old folk in Rosamond street must be doing their nut enduring having the residents cars of coronation street clogging up there roads :-) :-)

And Ken Barlow suddenly has a car. In 9 decades of appearing in the Street he's never owned one, never driven in his life, and suddenly he has a car and no one bats an eyelid.

And how do all the characters with small children manage to spend so much time in the pub? Who is babysitting? Think i managed about 2 nights out a year when my kids were small

Also, for 2 up 2 down terraced houses, where do all the lodgers sleep that seem to turn up in the street? The houses in Coronation street are more like the Tardis.

Corrie is a land of wonder. Unemployed people can always afford the pub, ugly blokes get to have it away with all the women, and if you lose your job you'll find one working for someone else in the street.

There are questionable morals in the street as well. There does seem to be a lot of nookie going on between the residents when in relationships, it doesn't matter if they are the Gays, Lesbians or the straight folk. They must know each other extremely well. As for the gay, heroin addict vicar, well. There's a lot going on 'op north.^_^

Wrong there. Back in the nineties he was out of work and driving a dodgy motor he couldn't afford to get fixed so he palmed it off on someone else, leading to some unpleasantness.

Not that I ever watched it, of course
