Bit blowy on the way in but looks like it will pick up for a nice fast ride home. May flip the wheel on the fixed from 48 x 18 to 48 x 16 and go for a couple of Strava segments :becool:

I am knocking off at lunch to make sure everything is secure at my place. The gale in November snapped trees like twigs in Denmark. Todays gale is supposed to be worse.

i am on my Honda Innova 125 so it should be fun going home.

Conspiracy theory:- Several weeks ago there was a little storm darn sarf, it was widely publicised with several days notice, yet this one up norf seems to have arrived without warning maybe as it didn't effect the South East it is of no consequence.

It's no more than breezy down here. However, the tidal range is very wide today - over 7 metres - and that plus a storm surge means that you might have to prepare yourself for a big SE story to come. (It looks like the Thames barrier will be in use this afternoon. I might get a chance to pop down.)

I did ride home from work this morning, at 1.30am.
Storm had just started, helped that my panniers were loaded with groceries from the 24 hour Asda.
Made it home just before the heavy wind gusts started hitting, saw a guy in full outdoor work hi viz gear about to ride to his work, probably to the local rail depot.
Hope he was ok!

Two of the regulars at my place did cycle in, only spoke to one but he said 'it was that or the moped' but he still ended up pushing it at one point:thumbsup:

Saw two paperboys out on bikes, but they're all mad anyway:smile:
