Good news

There is good news for us here in the snow belt in the US. The four really cold rotten months are over with. That means we are going to start seeing days that are warm enough to start riding again. It must be the same in Europe.

Start riding again? I never stopped.

To be fair though, it was wonderful to be out yesterday under beautiful sunshine and 15 degree heat. It's been a stunning Winter but I'm glad to see the end of the snow.

Oh I hear you. And feel for you !

Not just the cold; here in the UK; it’s the long, dark Winter days that make riding hard. Or sometimes ‘impossible’ when coupled with awful weather. But the days are really pulling out both ways now. This was at 6.48am this Morning for example….

Here on the west coast of Ireland, the only way to tell the difference in the seasons is that the rain is warmer in summer.

That’s what I feared when I toured the West Coast and Central Highlands last Easter. I remember the campsite nr Ben Nevis, I had to use quite of bit force to get the tent pegs into the ground. It had been a very dry Spring.
