Out for a 50 mile ride and after 30 miles i blow a rear tube.

a local bike mechanic was driving by and fixed it for me.

1 mile later the rear tyre blew taking out the new tube

A off duty policeman who was also a cyclist stopped and gave me a lift to the local cycle shop


The cycling community is live and well in Basingstoke

I always carry two spare tubes in the car along with a pump and a few tools, have done so for many years. It has helped many a poor soul out, I do not ask for payment for the tube, my reward is in hoping that if I ever need help someone will do the same.
