Getting out on the good bike more now with the better weather problem is my Ultrimos are sat in there boxes looking at me, when do I risk putting them on?

I've been running on my "good" tyres for a while already.

I have a new pair sitting on the table waiting to be fitted, i am going to give it a couple more weeks then they will get fitted, i have been running an old one on the rear for a while as i hit a pothole with the winter tyre and wrote that of, the ultremo does seem to be holding up well.

Nice and sunny tomorrow but there out with the salt tonight so going to have to wait, I think Paris-Roubaix weekend will be the swapping point regardless.

Get them on the bike dude. If they're that good then they can deal with everything you throw at them. Got my pro4's a month back and put them straight on......no messing about !

I like this advice but with them not being Contis or Michelins I need to get the summer out of them to feel the value.

Fair enough mate. Although I will say.... There is a very experienced cyclist in our club and she swears by them for all year round use. I must admit, I was very torn between the pro4's and the ultremo's.

You see this is it with Ultrimos everyone says there a great tyre but then a lot of folk comment on the longevity I have good friend in my local club who cant get a summit out of a rear, ok I will swap front and rears after a few months but comments like this make me think?

Put my Ultrimos on this weekend with light weight tubes did a 52mile ride, really shocked a how noticeable the difference in rolling resistance and weight was.
