this weekend, over dessert, I made the mistake of calling my Son's Girlfriend a hipster-doofus because she bought a single-speed bike. I was treating her as if she was my Sister, who I can kid like that, but I don't know her well enough to make that leap. I guess I was 3 sheets to the wind. I tried to apologize & she defended her choice. I tried to make up for it later by discussing trunk bags for her rear rack & I gave her a decent little headlight. an extra that I had. it's not the mistakes we make in life that define us, it's what we do when we discover them
