The conclusion being the valid and evidenced one that the Press are not being factual, reporting unverified and denied third party discussions and therefore not evidence against the use of helmet cameras

Certainly does seem to be a third rail issue, much like the wearing of the helmet itself.

Until this goes to court, if it does. Everything is speculation and nobody knows anything, so there is no point in arguing about it.

It also means that all the other head cam companies will be looking closely at their helmet mounts. Maybe helmet mounts will become a thing of the past.

Or am I being a little optimistic now.

There is a difference between him saying it and backpedalling, and someone else saying that he said it and him denying that he did!

Anyway, it might or might not be a bad idea to have a hard object attached to a helmet, but the chances are that you are going to have serious problems one way or another if you do something that leads to your head hitting a hard object at high speed.

And if worn as a chest cam, would it lead to claims that the damage to your chest/ribs could have been avoided?

More people seem to feel that fitting lights to helmets is a safety measure. Same issues arise in an accident.

People carry tools in jersey pockets on rides. I wonder how many times that practice has led to injuries, such as an allen key in a kidney, or damage to the spine?
