I can't comment on the men's fit but the women's fit is very close and about a size ( or two) too small compared with other makes.

No pit vents !?
IME I found cheaper jackets with pit vents better than Gore -Tex without so Gore-Tex with vents would be the way to go IMO .
I have 3 Gore-Tex jackets for walking and tried 2 on the bike , pit vents make all the difference for breathability .

I have the Gore Path jacket. I'm a 40" to 42" chest, 34" waist, about 6' tall and got a large. I'd say it is the best fitting jacket I have (including non cycling stuff) although I wouldn't get much more than one layer under it. I've found it pretty breathable to be honest, only once feeling a little uncomfortable but that's because I forgot to take it off on one occasion this summer. Probably says a lot that I forgot to take it off!

Had my power AS jacket for a year. Mixed feelings about it...

Light and very water / shower proof, nice long cut for sleeves and rear.
Breathablility is v good, I can see the warm vapour seep out the fabric. Wind proof_- it just works.
Durable, took a tumble or two on trails, expecting some tears and rips, but nothing.

Cons,
Expensive, very, I managed to get it on a 20% promo, plus c2w scheme, making it a palatable.
One rear pocket, but small, and a near useless plastic bag that would hold nothing but an iPhone 4/5.
No front pockets especially given back one is small.
no Zip vents under arm , but may cost complete water proofness.
Not warm enough to just have this and a base layer.
