The Hammerhead Karoo 3 also has the best of both worlds (buttons and a touch screen).

The Karoo 3 is extremely easy to use—highly intuitive—with great GPS. Recommended!

While the RRP is above the OP’s budget, it’s available on sale for close to it.

Although Shimano has stopped the Di2 integration I think or had so I definitely wouldn't buy one in my case.

I love my Beeline Velo 2 - cheap, simple and does all the things the OP asks for.

I bought it originally for local navigation, but have started to prefer it to my Wahoo Bolt v1 for the clarity of directions.

The Ki2 extension enables you to integrate Di2 with the Karoo. It gets great reviews, but I haven’t tried it yet.

Coros Dura is off sale. A new version will be launched…sometime. Hopefully soon.

…and it is. £429 without a mount (£479 if you want theirs), but it is a higher-spec device. Not the bargain the original version was, obviously, but better screen, faster processor, etc.

Voice control, and new style screen and loud speaker as Edge 1050 / 1060 etc.
That's a weird function. Makes you wonder how people use their devices. To be seems a bit like a feature looking for an application, sort of other devices have it so we should as well.

Other than turn by turn (which is all GPS passing info to me) only other times I bother with the GPS is more significant climbs (I find the ClimbPro helpful) and just traditional cycle compiler display Speed, distance, clock. It's all GPS to me with an occasional screen swipe for nothing critical and only when safe and convenient.

Even when I was offshore racing (sailing) I had computer connected into the the instrumentation recording and analysing everything ... but during the race it would sit down below recording and only after the race would I bother to analyse it's data (VMG, pointing, etc.)

I hadn't realised there was now a 1060. I have 1050 and looking at the changes up to the 1060 and they seem really trivial.
