My first experience of Graham Weigh cycles went something like this:

ordered 2 wheel rims - website said 50+ in stock

few hours later got a call saying out of stock for next 5 weeks!

on the plus side; they did call quickly to let me know

on the negative side; their website quantities are bull$hit!

Will not use again.

They were a big advertiser in the cycle press years ago, not seen them for ages, thought they had disappeared.

Nothing changes, Paid for a frame from them years ago over the phone when I chased up the order was told out of stock and waiting for delivery,approx 6 weeks. Charming.

I'm very annoyed that they appear to be in no hurry to refund my money either - paypal transfers are instant!

Beware of Graham Weigh - it looks like I've upset them by asking for a refund and they are claiming that it will take 21 days (once I said that I need the money to buy the product elsewhere)!!!!!

I have bought off them on ebay with no issues. They have 99.9% feedback on over 9500 sales. My delivery came within 24 hours. I get the impression that quite a few cycle retailers have been guilty of selling things they haven't got in stock but know they can get.

well they can't get them until the end of May despite saying they had 50 in stock. I just called paypal and they said it's complete rubbish that they can't refund my money for 21 days so it looks like they are just playing silly games now that I want a refund. So now I have to wait 7 days before I can make a claim through paypal and get the money back that way a bit quicker! Fecking idiots.

If you paid by paypal all they have to do to refund you is click the refund button assuming they have the money in the paypal account to cover it, I sometimes have to do it when a customer makes a mistake on their order only takes a few seconds so I would say they are talking bollocks unless paypal hangs on for the payment for a period to cover chargebacks depends on their history with paypal.

yes, when I called paypal they confirmed that they are talking bollocks! They could issue the refund in seconds.

Maybe they dont have the money in the account to pay you with or they are hanging onto it for the interest.

for once your 'anger against the world' is well placed they are talking garbage. I had a problem with an overcharge from an online retailer, main bill of about £500 settled via paypal and some extras done via debit card, it was the debit card they'd overcharged. They'd charged an additional £25 I hadn't agreed to and their accounts dept didn't take calls only e-mails, which they ignored for 3 days. So I rang their sales dept...straight through to that one...and told them to pass a message onto the accounts. Either my £25 was refunded that day or I would reverse the whole of the paypal payment and they could try and chase me through the small courts for the £500.....the refund was with me inside 2 hours.

I know you lack the leverage of a larger amount to hold over them but I'd not accept this time delay
