The wonder stuff isn't for filling potholes. it's for resurfacing roads that are less likely to develop potholes. For the reasons you describe it would probably be daft to use it for repairs.I wonder if these potholes filled with this wonder stuff would cause issues as the normal road surface around it crumbles as its not as strong , a bit like the potholes you get around speed bumps ?
The problem is, it's a long term investment. You'd pay more up front but it would last longer and need less repair (in theory, if it doesn't dissolve after 2 years) leading to reduced lifetime costs. Let's face it, no one has spare cash to invest in the long term, when it will be someone else's problem by then anyway.
