When I'd finished with the bike on Saturday, it was rather muddy and salty, so I hosed it down. Half an hour later it was all frozen solid, so I moved it inside. Fortunately that meant it was usable this morning.
It was cold - very cold - I could feel the circulation in one of my feet going within about half a mile of my house... it wasn't too bad if you stayed out of the shade and didn't go too fast downhill!!
A view from my route this morning:
Biting cold headwind sweeping off the river as I cycled from SW to the city at 6am Legs also felt twitchy after Saturdays ride (long one by my lame standards).
Commute home was a bit better though. Looking forward to tomorrow's freezing sleet already
I had to go to the Oracle User Group conference in Birmingham which meant leaving on foot at 6.30 for the station, good god it was cold, -8 according to my outdoor weather gadget, would have been warmer on the bike as walking doesnt get the energy burning enough to combat that kind of cold.
