A few weeks ago, on my way home from work, my Brooks Swift saddle failed spectacularly. The adjusting bolt at the front snapped without warning and ripped apart the metal bracket that attaches the saddle to the rails. Completely unuseable.
When I got home I got the paperwork out and found that the saddle was over two and a half years old, and the guarantee on it was for two years. So I emailed them, a bit xxxxed off because I loved that saddle, and said that their marketing claim of "a lifetime of cycling comfort" was looking a bit dodgy. I got a polite email back asking me to send it back to them for inspection, which I did.
It was back with me 48 hours later, fixed and as good as new, and no charge.
So I'm very pleased. Nice one, guys! Yet another reason, if one were needed, to buy Brooks.
