Not necessarily, I used to manage a hobbyshop and while wages were low the guys were enthusiasts and always helpful. Bear in mind retail pay is never high.

I got my bike, via the cycle to work scheme, at Halfords, Gravesend. Spoke to Graham who was a fellow cyclist and really knew his stuff.

I know they get a lot of stick round here, but for the past three times I have been there they have done some tweaks on my bikes.

The most recent one was a done as a good will gesture. for only10 pounds they adjusted the caliper disc brakes and cables and replaced a bottom bracket.

So have you had great service from Halford's? If so then post your tale it would be good to have a different stories from the norm.
