My wife once worked in a hotel/bar owned by Tommy Gemmell (winner of European Cup in 1967), and told me a story of the night he and a few other "Lisbon Lions" (including Jimmy Johnstone and Bertie Auld) were playing poker in the bar "after hours", when Siouxsie and her Banshees entered the bar after a gig (I think in Stirling) as they were booked to stay for the night. My wife said it was a bizarre sight to see the ex-footballers drinking and gambling next to Siouxsie and her band drinking cups of tea; they seemed to get on well with each other, apparently.Siouxsie Sioux (Banshees)
Without doubtDammnit, i forgot about him. Best story teller EVER.
I saw them a few times in London.Great stuff, saw them in a tiny club* in Oxford 30 odd years ago
*Scamps I think it was called.
Nobody seems to have mentioned Lee Brilleaux yet, I know the songs with Wilco was when they were famous but the stuff with Steve Walwyn was really good too.
