Well certainly for those fat bike things

I mean - it's obvious - air is light and tyres get hot
and hot air rises - as proved by the Hindenberg

so when the tyres get hot them the air inside will rise

which will reduce grip
so you need more weight to hold you down


You see - this is what comes on 3 years doing a proper Science degree!!

and then spending 20 years doing IT and learning how to speak fluent b****x

How so?

The back wheel not necessarily so.

The front disc wheel needs equal spokes to the back wheel and cross spoked.

Where as a front rim wheel can have fewer spokes, 16 typically and radially too.
