Get well soon Rach! As Maz has said, is there CCTV cameras nearby?

Also it is possible that the cyclist is a regular on that route. If you, or someone else hung about there he might turn up again.

So that's Green Park in London, then. Glad we're finally clear on that.

Oh, and get well soon.

Oooh shame Rach, I'm really sorry to hear that. What an ass for cycling off and leaving you like that. I would be very tempted to stake out the location with a video camera at the same time and see if you can accost him.

I didn't know there was a cycleway in the park (unless you count the bridleway), I always go down the road.

Glad you are OK.

Did he have large ears and was talking to the trees ?

Thanks all! After being forced by my boss to take the day off on Friday, I was back on my bike on Monday.

There's a pretty good cycle lane all the way down Constitution Hill in Green Park, although I do tend to use the road at this time of year as it does yet rather swamped with jaywalking tourists...!

hi Rach and bummer on the accident and injury. not the first time that I've had cyclists ride on and the peds do the good work

if I'm passing someone I either do it fast and wide or with some sort of significant noise

not much you can do with the zombies with earphones in mind

anyhow, good to see you chipper and back on the horse so soon, bravo

I was the person who was knocked off on Thursday.

I was cycling down the cycleway in Green Park (I normally cycle down the road on Constitution Hill, but the lights were "in my favour" - famous last words - to cycle in the park on that day). I was overtaking another cyclist towards the end of the cycle lane opposite Buckingham Palace, and he abruptly - and without checking behind or indicating - turned right in front of me and knocked me off my bike.

I don't remember much, but I was knocked on the floor and sustained a nasty head injury that meant I lost a lot of blood. I've fractured my cheekbone in three places, and am left with a nicely blued right-side of my face and stitches.

Apparently the cyclist stopped briefly, and then cycled off - leaving me on the floor. I was very grateful to the pedestrians who stopped to help.

Well if the offender is reading this, I hope he knows he is a fool.

Eh? Who's magnaton? If your referring to me, why would I give her the once over (I am a scientific doctor, not medical). Maybe it's you who has concussion....

these medical people get so picky about the details ...doctor , schmoctor.... honestly!

Yes, "The Schmoctor will see you now" would be a very reassuring thing to hear.

And next week, on Schmoctor Who...

actually, that might be worth seeing.
