Grinding Freehub...Evans

I have a Pinnacle Dolomite One from Evan's Cycles and the freehub has started sticking and grinding.

Most repairs I can carry out myself but as I don't think it should have started to cause issues this soon, less than 6 months how do people find Evans are with warranty repairs.

Going to give them a call and drop the wheel in this week, assume I don't need to take the whole bike!

Been advised that if it is a warranty issue they will send the whole wheel of to the manufacturer and it may take 2 weeks to get it back. WTF? The bikes only 5 months old.

They say a freehub is a specialist job, they don't stock spares and difficult to service.
