These are fantastic in my opinion https://www.tredz.co.uk/specialized-cycling-gloves

I bought a spare pair for when they wear out

Decathlon also do good gloves. Do you have a road bike or hybrid ? Road bikes you can't go far wrong with most 'tapes' - not as fat as that foam. Hybrid, then look at Ergon grips.

It's a BTWin 540 frame with various eBay and Amazon parts, so road bike probably.

I have these mitts and they are really well padded https://www.merlincycles.com/chiba-gel-comfort-active-mitts-122082.html

In my (limited) experience handlebar grips are way too much lacking in shock absorption, maybe not so much of an issue for road bikes, but certainly a problem for my mostly off-road pootling. I use foam pipe lagging to provide extra shock absorption, secured in place over a regular pair of grips using tie-wraps.

Pipe lagging is available online in a wide range of pipe diameters, and with a couple of foam thicknesses, I use 35mm pipe diameter, and 13 mm foam thickness.
