Gritting lorry / road grit smells of vomit !

Is it just me or has anyone else experienced this rather horrible smell.

Out on the bike, gritting lorry passed by and in its wake along with the grit came the smell of vomit. I use that road a lot and it normally doesn't smell at all.

If it's a local gritter, they're try out a few ideas this year. You seem to have caught one of them.

Not all are expected to be repeated though.

I'm sure the council are really going to appreciate wasting their time investigating to see if someone has puked up in a pile of road salt! This time of year people spew up all over the place. Get over it.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger. I was just cycling along minding my own business and then the grit lorry passed. A light peppering of grit hit my shins which wasn't an issue.

I know I take some powerful drugs but the aroma was distinct.
