You come across as a very ignorant, arrogant and immature person. I think I may well subscribe to your post because I'll enjoy all the 'Told you so's' if when you eventually bite off more than you can chew and someone give you a clip. You may then give up your urban warrior camera wearing crusade and grow up a little.

So, you would do nothing if a drunk driver was getting into a car?

That's a bit OTT isn't it? I agree that it's probably not the wisest approach to life, to be constantly looking to put the world to rights, and that like as not it'll end up in tears, but I don't see anything inherently wrong in people ticking others off for selfish, potentially life-threatening behaviour. I don't think it's wise, but I don't think it's wrong.

Are you really saying that wisdom and maturity is all about turning a blind eye? Where do you draw the line? I personally tend to avoid confrontation - not least out of rank cowardice - but I generally applaud rather than denigrate people willing to 'take one for the team', at their own personal risk, in an attempt to nudge people back in the direction of maintaining the basic norms of a civilised society.

I agree. up to a point. But to be constantly looking to put the world to rights all the time is tiresome quite frankly. If you are to tick people off every time you see them wrong doing eventually it will bite back hard and the fact the entire day would be taken up in confrontations!!. I personally, and I dare say others feel the same, he's heading for a fall in the not too distant future.

No matter how often you tell your children things as they grow up, they have to find out things for themselves, Matthew will find his own level.

yep...I regularly get drivers verbally abusing me after I ask them to put the phone down and concentrate on driving when they are anywhere near me. Yesterday on the cycle path a bloke lost the plot when I told him to control his dog and get it out of the cycle path where it was barking at me and running under my wheels.
I don't agree that cyclists should just let this stuff go, if it's a danger to my safety I believe I have the right to tell people so.

They don't like it up 'em Mr. Mainwaring...don't like it up 'em!

Why should everyones safety be put in jeopardy just because some selfish person cannot abide by the law? Rules are there fore a reason and the police cannot be everywhere.
It is up to everyone to ensure each others safety, and if that means confronting people then why not? Why should there be a backlash from doing a good deed? Why do things have to decrease into physical aggressive situations?
What type of world would it be if we just let everything go and allowed these people who have no concern for others safety do what they want? Turning a blind eye is not the answer. Standing up for yourself is the answer and people need to learn that putting peoples safety and lives in jeopardy is not acceptable.

I am not trying to enforce the law by confronting people but just trying to raise their awareness that driving whilst on the phone is not acceptable. It has been illegal for 10 years and yet some people still havent got the message.

Matthew, I think you should join the Police force; you have the right moral attitude but need some back-up.

fark no............

Its a shame that Wales has kept some of its ethnicity over the years. The Welsh language still seems to be big, even in North Wales which is full of people from Manchester and Liverpool.
When I move to England I might become a PCSO. Who knows?

Please don't move to England!

Matthew, remember me mentioning in another thread of yours that a still tongue is sometimes a wise head, and you can't put an old head on young shoulders.

You're a young lad still with things to learn about people and how they react. Regardless of how right you think you are to raise awarenesss it's only a matter of time before you do this to the wrong person and you'll end up in a world of pain.

Nobody on here wants that so until you're in a Police / PCSO uniform and can do something about it, chill and just let these things go.

This is a remarkable and in some ways quite offensive statement. Others have responded to it, but I find myself gobsmacked by it still. I cannot understand how it could possibly be a shame that any place on this planet has kept its ethnicity.

One used to hear this talk about Kosovo in the bars and streets of Belgrade, Mali Zvornik and other towns around Serbia. It sounded as wrong there as it does from you here.

I'd understood that you were Welsh; I hear a little bit of accent where you speak to other road users in your videos. I cannot see how you might resent the lingering Welsh culture inside Wales.

Is it the Welsh language that riles you? Is there a language prerequisite if you want to apply to be a PCSO in Wales?

If there is, it sounds a jolly good idea to me. I'd love to hear what drove you to make that statement about ethnicity.
