and was feeling good about completing a nice 13 miles on a fine morning.

It was a bit disheartening to read elsewhere here how many of you had problems and aggrevation on your trip.

So I feel a little guilty about posting a couple of pics of views on my route in. They are from my phone so the quality is not good and dont do them justice but hey you know, the sun was out and I just feel so damn good!

That's great news (nice to see a good news story)...and the views look wonderful.

I am so jealous!

Whats it like in the dark...must be really, really dark out there with no street lights.

That said, My parents have a place, way out in the sticks and without sodium light pollution etc, you can often read a book by the light from the moon alone.

The moon shadows are also amazing, just like blue sunshine and really bright. You have to see it to believe it.

This morning was quite and uneventful, but nothing special. However, I've just been out for a walk at lunchtime and saw a pair of kingfishers by one of the lakes. Which was nice.

You may guess from the number of my posts its quiet in work today!

Not done it in the dark yet Jonny. Only been here since the beginning of the year and fitness was an issue for me (Have I mentioned the hills?) well thats my excuse anyway :becool:

The winter months might be an issue as its very exposed over the tops.

Best you go get some big lights I think.

Actually, come to think of it...yopu should stop immediatley as its getting dark in the evenings:smile:

.....that and the fact that your ride is far to pretty and its not fair on the rest of us!!!

Ah ha - great excuse to show off these pictures of Richmond Park looking its finest this morning with great crisp sunshine and mist rolling down the hills. Absolutely beautiful (and worth stopping to take photos of..!)
