Quite frankly I'm disappointed with everyone. Just noticed I made a bit of a typo as was posting from the phone last night and nobody noticed

Light shower of it. Looked like it might stick at the time, but now 10 minutes after it stopped its just wet out apart from a bit on the cat

Opened the door for the cat this morning to let it out. It didn't get any further than the threshold. I think it may have been a cyclist in a former life, it doesn't do cold, wet, windy.

Edinburgh has escaped the snow so far, I saw one car this morning that had a little bit on its rear window, so I guess its not too far away! Its too warm for anything much during the day, according to the cheap lidl computer on my bike it only fell to 5 deg.

It is definitely white winter where I work (200 m higher than where I live) and there is a good chance of a fair bit more snow tomorrow even down here in the valley.

But reports of a flurry - a few flakes that were only just noticeable - in Taunton town.

Don't panic! There was a long and detailed weather report but the dog ate it so I'll try my best to summarise.

A few more flakes fell but it wasn't up to much.

coulpe of cm this morning, so i switched to my mtb and had a trek across the banks of the humber.Only covered 10 miles instead of the daily 17
