Woke up to a few inches of snow this morning in West London.

Probably could have cycled on the main roads but didn't want to risk it, bus lanes weren't very clear and covered in slush, so took the bus and overground.
Took an hour and 15 mins instead of the usual 30 mins

Yes - I, and they, were on a road. It's hard to tell though, isn't it?

Had a good view of a stoat chasing blackbirds in the hedge bottom yesterday, but I forgot about it and deleted that bit.

After yesterday's spills, and another two or three inches of snow yesterday daytime, I went home via a different route, more likely to be cleared. It was cleared, with only a bit of slush remaining - but the roads were nearly empty. It was lovely.

More snow overnight, so I set up my old mountain bike with lights to get in today. It's got treaded 1.5" tyres - and I can now confirm that on rutted snow, they're much more secure than Conti Ultrasports.

2 inches on the olympic park, but all site roads are clear. gotta keep building it. never mind that those from kent can't get here.

Woke up to 4" (the snow) this morning, actualy had to dig myself out which is very unusual. Still managed to get to work on time though, then spent the rest of the day clearing the paths and entrances so the few staff and patients that did get in wouldn't fall over

Been snowing throughout the day here in Essex. Bread & Cheese Hill of Fnrttc fame is closed to traffic. In fact all hills east towards Southend are not passable, in cars of any sort.

No new snow overnight, but freezing fog, so there's fantastic hoar frost this morning. A bit chilly too - about -10C.

Here's the igloo our volunteers built. The entrance is a bit of a cheat, supported by hardboard. As it is, we fear the weight is making the paving subside... It's 6 foot tall at the top, inside.

I was watching this overhang yesterday as I worked at home. It's still not gone, and I don't fancy being under it when it does...

No snow, but -7C first thing and never above freezing all day. Decided it was time to clear the piles of snow off the car cover - car hasn't moved an inch all week. I'm hoping it will start in the morning.
