300km a week through London on a road bike.
Be glad you weren't 10 miles from home ;)

I had a Topeak mini pump which never worked when I needed it! Lezyne ftw, a bit more expensive but worth it
Yep, Lezyne are well worth a little bit extra and aren't unreasonably priced.

I have the same exact pump you have and I've had it for at least 5 years with no issues, but I do believe the largest version of the Lezyne Road Drive is the better pump, as I do own two of those. The Lezyne is presta only but the Topeak will also work with Schrader. The large Lezyne takes about 150 strokes to get to 100 airing up a 700 x 23c tire, whereas the Topeak takes about 240 with a lot more effort than the Lezyne.

Those are the two best mini pumps on the market, however supposedly the Birzman Velocity works a bit better than either of those but I never used one so I can't say from personal experience, but from tests that I read it takes about 220 strokes for it to reach 100...wait, why is this pump easier to pump if it takes more strokes than the Lezyne? I'm not sure, it may slide easier under high pressure? I did recall reading that the Birzman was a heavy pump. All the other pumps won't even reach 75 regardless of their claims on their packaging. I don't know what the max I could put into a tire with those pumps but I would venture a guess at about 115 for the Topeak and 125 for the Lezyne, but I think after trying to do that I would be hurting! And thus I won't be trying that, and besides all my tires take 100 max for my body weight.

So having said that not sure why you are having problems with your Topeak, I would check to see if the pump head is on Presta and not Schrader, barring that you may have to replace the grommet in the head if Topeak makes a replacement part which I could not find in my fast google check.

The easiest pump to use, besides a full size frame pump is the Topeak Road Morph, this pump is not a mini nor a frame pump, more like a half frame pump, but it can get to 100 psi in about 120 strokes and do so easier than any mini. However the Road Morph is heavy, and it looks quite ungainly on a bike, but I do own one and it's on my touring bike that uses 27 x 1 1/4 tires which would take a long time for a mini to pump up (though I carry a mini when I tour for a backup). This pump is like having a miniature floor pump at your disposal, complete with fold out foot and hand pegs, and the G model even has a gauge.

If parts cannot be found then you'll need a new pump, I would try the Lezyne but get the large size, the small and medium size will increase your workload and I doubt any of those could get close to 100.

Another option, which I don't like CO2 but that's for a different conversation, you could buy a hybrid pump like the Lezyne Pressure Drive CFH, this pump combines both a regular pump and a CO2 pump, with this you could pump the tire up to around 25 psi then let a CO2 cart take you the rest of the way.

Oh come on - you can't leave it there with no examples, else we'll be trying to imagine where you've been sticking your hose before pumping! ;)

Well taking 5 minutes to discover the reason no air would go in was because I'd accidentally unscrewed the valve is a good example.
