Is that the one at Eynsford?
I believe the origins of the name came from the existance of a toll road that ran through Eynsford. Sparepenny Lane runs parallel to the main road, but was a bit further and didn't have a toll. So travellers could spare a penny by avoiding the toll road and taking this Lane.
Yes. Good pub at the Faringham end. Lots of roadies out yesterday. Also MTB'ers on the footpaths.
