When I left my last job almost a year ago they gave me £60 in Halfords vouchers as a leaving present... I still have them as I've never found anything in there I wanted to buy (always seem to miss the bargains) been waiting on some decent lights to come on offer or something.

To add to the problem I turned 50 and ended up with a £50 voucher to go with it.

So now I have £110 of halfords vouchers I can't seem to spend, 10% BCS on top too.

Almost bought some Gore bib shorts on offer... but didn't like the pad.

I seem to just haunt the local stores in the hoppe of tripping over a bargain.
If you really aren't going to use them you should pass them on as presents or sell them  someone would buy them for a discount?

Seem a shame you're left with them and don't want them.

I would never buy a bike from Halfords and I would advise anyone who asked my opinion to avoid them like the plague. Last time I was in my local branch (grabbing some replacement wipers for the missus's car), I overheard the teen "sales" guy trying to up-sell an old lady from a basic pendleton model (step in) to a Boardman CX bike. Not only totally inappropriate for the client (she was in her 50's and just wanted a bike to run to the shops on), but also 5x the price. Luckily she was switched on and just ignored his "advice". When he left to answer another query, I pointed out she'd be better off going to the LBS not 1/2mile away where she'd get proper advice. Thankfully she agreed with me.

Our lass works at the local school and works an allotment. About 10(ish) years ago I bought her a 2nd hand Apollo ladies bike off ebay. It’s been used regularly since then. It’s had different configurations and add ons. kiddy seat, pannier rack, basket... and it’s not regularly maintained/looked after. I’ll check the tyres whilst I walk past and she’ll occasionally say “There’s a noise” etc.

Best £15 I ever spent.

I'll probably end up buying some park tools, a new wedge pack, 50 inner tubs or something :o), almost starting to enjoy haunting the local branches.

I'm using my local Halfords a lot more for parts; with the 10% BC discount plus Quidco for shopping in store they're competitive price-wise, just as long as I reserve online.

Bought some SPD M540 pedals this am; reserved last night 10pm, collected 9.30am today (a mile from my house) and at £25.80 cheaper than others.
