Hi all,

Tried putting my handlebar bag on my touring bike tonight, only to come across this issue. It looks like the bar foam is in the way, but not sure.

Any suggestions?

Drill off the mount from the bar bag. Rivet or bolt on a Rixen and Kaul mounting plate and use their extended mount.

Ive always known them as that sorry if its technically wrong but it doesnt make any difference to what the OP needs to know.
True: the op needs an extension as suggested, or a narrower bar bag.

But calling interrupters suicides is an insult to all who gave their lives to long bendy metal bars wedged into the front of their brakes ;)

Thanks all for your replies thus far.

@Hill Wimp, one thing I'm concerned about with the extension is over-hang and the potential for that extension to go *snap*. It's not like I'm going to be going mountain biking with it, but I may come across some bumpy roads. Should I need to be concerned? Or are they built to take some bumps?

Mine is incredibly strong. They are pretty thick extenders. My bike is currently in Norfolk with @hopless500 waiting for me to join it in 15 days as we go off and tour for a month in Europe.

If you ask really nicely Hop may take some better photos of it for you if she can get the bike out of wherever Mr Hop has hidden it.

Anyway i'm woman, that bar bag is the equivalent of my handbag. Take a guess at the weight that extender has to take:laugh:
