When were sailing I got to ride a couple of folding bikes with various sized wheels. I always thought they were a little unstable compared to conventional bikes. Now I own one I'm wondering if the instability is due to the width of the handlebars coupled with the size of the wheels. I had a first ride on mine yesterday & wondered if I could get some improvement by modifying the bars someway. I've seen various inserts that change how the bars are held. Anyone found an improvement by fitting such devices. I wouldn't want to impair the folding ability of the bike. Mine has 20inch wheels.
