They also made hybrids, I had one called a Via Charisma, much the same paint job only black with red shimmery splotches. A pretty nice bicycle, all in all. They started out being manufactured as Italvega, as they were made in Italy to begin with.

Originally founded by Ben Lawee after he began importing to the States. My bike, amongst its 20,000 other logos, still bears his name.
It's a make I never really knew much about, I quite like the relative obscurity, don't see too many about. Like most bikes I aquire, they bring out my inner anorak, I could now use univega (1980's and 1990's) as my specialist subject on mastermind. Think my wife, as I try to share my excitement with old bikes, really does think she could have done much better!
