I went to the Bike shed shop in Barnstable today as I am visiting my step daughter, while the women went shopping, and saw the very bike that Marco Pantani rode up the Alpes d'huez in 1997 went he set the record of under 38 minutes. ( still holding). The bike is on loan to them at present and insured for £35000 according to the shop assistant. very chuffed!!
