I swore many years ago that I would never buy a Ford or a Vauxhall and not likely to change my mind.
If its a small car look at the Hyundais, i10, i20 or the Suzuki Swift.

What brands are acceptable and what's the budget?I swore many years ago that I would never buy a Ford or a Vauxhall and not likely to change my mind.
I have had Renaults, Citroens and Peugeots since the 70's and never had any issues with them except Peugeot 305 which was beginning to give electrical problems. But a Renault made in Spain or Malasia is somehow better? That's like buying a used hand grenade, but insisting on a chinese copy of an obsolete soviet item.
French or Japanese. £12k max. What brands are acceptable and what's the budget?
Why not keep the Juke?
I know and like I said, it may come to that even if I fancy a change. To be fair, the Juke is not a bad car although a bit thirsty on fuel. Lucky to get 32 mpg in town. I was spoilt with the Captur which is great on fuel. That's what I thought especially if your wife likes it.

Or just keep the Juke as your wife would preferGood budget that. Go have a wander round a car supermarket and see what you like the look of to get a 'short list'
