'BILLY' the bike is my hybrid and it looks like it might just be joined by the 'BOMB' if Biggsie can work the light fantastic on the frame he has found in his loft.

This is really silly I normally don't give inanimate things names-for instance -I have never named my cars :so I have two giants deft's-a zero and 3 upgraded with 105 shifters and mechs and a triple chain set -makes for easy bike fit. The older bike (the defy 3) gets called Dennis- cos it seems to have attitude- the defy 0 gets called" little giant"-Do not ask me why-I can't explain It!

I generally use the brands or function to distinguish between bikes, e.g Cannondale or MTB.

I used to have two Whytes (a MTB and hybrid). Then I would call them “white Whyte” and “black Whyte”. Not very imaginative!

"her" or "she" , otherwise their primary type
e.g her tyres look like they need pumping up or she needs a clean.
I'm going out on the roadie/hybrid or cube

My Blue PX Roadbike is 'Bluey'.
Purple Steel Roadie is 'PeeBee' (Purple Bike initials)
My PX CX is 'Eric'

They are all boy bikes. My car is called T.C. as there is a T and a C in the reg, next to each other. The car is a 'he' as well.

My old hybrid that was my everyday lugging everything about bike was called donkey bike.
My current bikes don't have names but my car is called Simon after Simon Rattle the conductor. Because it rattles - the useless heap of junk!
