been mistaken for...
Bob Geldof once, in his Boontown Rats days... it was a bloke and a woman in a pub. I was sat on me own nursing a pint and a book, waiting to meet someone later on.
And some bloke who I don't even know from a band that used to be big on the mod circuit. Bloke at Dingwalls offered to buy me a pint. Never one to turn down a free pint, i accepted, and we got chatting. When it turned out I wasn't who he thought I was, we had a laugh about it, and I bought him a pint back!

I have had one or two people say I look like a daffodil. A few times actually, well, quite a lot, they still do.

When I was much younger I had a passing resemblance to Suede guitar-botherer, Bernard Butler. That certainly never did me any harm. I've been told (on here) that I look like Robert Downey Jr. I can sort of see it.

Never mind being mistaken for someone famous, what if you are famous but people just don't recognise you...?

Isn't that the best kind of famous like really bigname authors?.... no one bothers you unless you tell them your name.... but you have the money and your name can get the best tables in posh restaurants

A couple of years ago while I was wearing my kilt I was asked if I was related to Billy Connolly
