I used to put tomato sauce in peanut butter sandwiches when I was a kid.

I quite often make an apple & porridge sandwich:

Ingredients
2 stale bread crusts
1 apple core
Burnt porridge soaked off the bottom of a saucepan

Method
1. Spread the porridge on a crust
2. Place apple core on top
3. Cover with another crust
4. Roll it up in a sheet of newspaper and chuck it in the food waste bin.

I think I have.

It’s unusual. Possibly unique. And I’m not sure whether I like it, but I’m going to make another one, to check.

White bread, peanut butter and twiglets.

Watch this space. Subway will be selling them next year.
Old hat, sorry. Even better with salad cream.

No, I’m not pregnant

My Dad had a couple of weird ones that I'd never heard of before:

Christmas cake sandwich (a slice of christmas cake between buttered bread)
Clotted cream (or double cream) and golden syrup

One of my favs used to be ham and runner bean chutney.

My mate at school used to always have Pate and branston pickle sandwiches xx(
