That looks like a mighty fine tipple. I can use mine to de grease the chain on my trusty stead, dual purpose

1 Hawking album?! That's a hard call but probably Warrior on the Edge of Time.
Having said that, Masters of the Universe is a very well put together compilation. Sonic Attack still freaks me out.
Can I have Chronicles of the Black Sword too?

And yet (re. self indulgence) they were the hippie band respected by punk even influencing it, John Lydon wouldn't have bee..................(continue onto techno, free festivals etc. etc.)
Of course the counter argument is that Hawkwind have been there own tribute band for between 10-35 years depending.
Or you could argue that rock music is inherently pre pubescent (or more accurately bang-on-pubescent) and self indulgent. Possibly.

If you could only have one Hawkwind LP, which one would it be?

The one that was put on the bonfire on Nov.5th 1988.

Space Ritual - worth it for Master of the Universe alone. Has to be at ear-bleeding volume, though.

Robert Calvert's Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters remains a wonderful political concept album and in reality is a Hawkwind Album in all but name



Musicians who appeared on the album include members of Hawkwind, The Pink Fairies, Brian Eno (although not credited as Eno), Arthur Brown, and Adrian Wagner. The spoken sketches are primarily performed by Calvert, Viv Stanshall, and Jim Capaldi.
