No contradiction. You should be riding on the road and paying road tax. Neither of which are necessarily correct on this instance.

Hang on.

So you want me to believe that a random British citizen is unable to construct a self-supporting logical premise before hurling random abuse at people in the street?

The Empire will never fall so low!

And stop riding on the pavement.

There's always the chance they'd stop taking such reports as well. How high are cyclists in the target driven forces we have now?
Wiltshire police are currently encouraging the reporting of dangerous driving. I happened to mention that I only report really bad incidents where I have camera footage and was told to report everything. They'll take the reg number and speak to a driver if they get too many complaints about any particular reg number. So that's what I'm doing until they get sick of me.

Idiots are all around us, technically once you are on the road you have right of way but it may have been quicker & more defensible if you were walking with the bike rather than hobby horsing on it. It doesn't excuse him being a self abuser and revving away tho.

It's only recently since being knocked off that i've taken to the pavement in times of panic about the number of vehicles on the road. I don't like doing it but once bitten twice shy. Like i said before, i try to be considerate and give way to pedestrians, and i only usually ride on pavements with no or very few pedestrians on.

Seriously, get off the pavement! #noexcuses

My excuse is that i don't want to be knocked off my bike again.

Perhaps it's time to take up off roading or stick to parks and canals and the like? Probably be more enjoyable than riding on pavements

.You sound like you're humouring me Vickster, like you'd do with someone who you think's getting on a bit, and past it. I know i said the other month that i was finished with road cycling but i admit that was a bit premature. I do ride a bit of off road now and it's not bad, but to me it's not the same as "the real thing".I rarely ride on pavements by the way and when i do i certainly don't enjoy it.;)

Its a waste of time trying to understand what motivates a dickhead like that.

Putting aside the pavement discussion nothing can ever excuse using a vehicle to intimidate someone.

A car waiting in the queue flashed what I thought was both of us, to cross.

*Tongue in cheek post*

And therein lies the problem, you made a false assumption; the driver was annoyed you incorrectly thought he'd flashed you hence why he had a go at you. It's all your fault really Accy and, if you ever see the motorist again, you must apologise profusely and offer to pay his car tax for the next 3 years.

But according to the highway code, the flashing of lights is just to make you aware he is there. Its not an instruction for you to do anything.

You cyclists. You bring it all on yourselves and then go complaining :0)
