Heating - on/off

Who has put their heating on/lit their fire?

I have a choice heating or get dressed, to hell with the cost stay

Not closed the windows yet, aside from when it's been windy outside. Why put the heating on with open windows?

I've no choice, Mrs Slick would have the heating on and the door open and it's now a battle ove kinda given up on.

Where I live it's the other way around. Air conditioning, on/off.

Only one on and is on a low setting. Should be able to finally switch them off next week if the weather is correct.

Normally nowhere near yet but this morning in particular it felt chilly, 16 degrees according to the stat so turned heating on for a while, especially as the grandkids are due for dinner.
It's far too early normally though.

I have family in Florida who I was always envious of, until I realised they have the exact same issues as us, just for another reason. Wouldn't swap it now although it is great for a visit.

I start fire if it is.cold first thing, then I let it die down when/if it warms up.

Had a fire this morning then let it die down about 2 hours ago. Lots of sun and warmth here now.

Same here, i live in a solid brick house, no insulation bar the loft, oh and the wife covers heating bills so who am i to argue

Not on yet as we can't stand CH, but are getting the wood burner ready, although it's glorious sunshine at the moment and we have doors open

When I was training regularly I could sit in shorts and T-shirt comfortably at 17C. Nowadays I can wear long trousers & jumper and sometimes still feel cold at 22-23.

Had a couple of fires and the heating on sporadically for a couple of weeks now.

Not yet, although I’ve got a cold and working at home tomorrow so it might go on
