Heavy Rain is great - very addictive and beautiful.
The trouble is, once you've played it once, you know who did the murderer is, and although I didn't completely do it perfectly, I saved the kid and all the charactors survived.
It was like reading an excellant book - I couldn't stop playing it.
But like a great book you wouldn't instantly pick it up and re-read it.
I think it has some great features, but the story is still linear. What your charactors do or think don't change the outcome - ie who is the Origami Killer - if you keep them all alive and out of police custody you should solve things and save the kid. The choices the charactors make have little effect on the outcome.
I think it looks beautiful and has features that could be developed further in future games.
At the moment I'd probably only play it once or twice / so maybe try to borrow it from someone.
