Helicopter tape carbon bike

Im not sure i understand this thread...but...

I put tape just under the bits that the cables rub on, never seen it to be needed anywhere else.

Quite a few MTB'ers get their carbon bikes wrapped - costs about £100, but it helps protect the paint in the event of a scrape, which happens regularly. I use heli tape on my MTB in the usual cable rub areas, on the down tube and on the rear seat stay where I can get shoe rub.
