Hello everybody from a rainy Dublin!
I'm a big cycling fan, pretty much since Jan Ullrich's first Tour win - as he's from my home town Rostock, that says I'm actually German but do live in Ireland. I remember those days when the sun was out, middle of the summer, but all I could think of was sitting in front of the TV in awe and watch the Tour. Ever since I had the intention to get a road bike - so far I've been always cycling with pretty random city bikes though - and now I finally decided to do so. I'll get the bike next week and can't wait to get really started... I'll be going for a Merida Race Lite 900, which I read is a great entry bike. Actually, I had in mind to buy a really good and fancy one, but then sanity had me back and I think it might be just better to start a bit smaller and to take it from there.
This is a great forum btw., read through loads of threads and found some great advice and help already here but looking forward to participate in discussions in the future now.
